Aereis

The Aereis ˈɛɹɪs is a Tier 3 flier herbivore and a Content Creator Creature. The species is Exclusive, can only be traded by recognized content creators of Creatures of Sonaria, and is not available in any gachas. The stored version is available in the Shoom Shop for Plantilla:Shoom 1,125 Shooms.

Appearance

The Aereis has black and white fur/feathers shown throughout this creature's body. Golden accents mark its body, as well as a single horn and a glowing halo atop its head, looping around the horn. This creature has wings that can be found on its head, shoulders, legs, and tail. The Aereis has three eyes, one on each side of its face and one on its forehead.

Males

Males have a small cluster of feathers near the base of their tails.

Females

Females have long, thin extensions protruding from the base of their tails.

Abilities

This section is intended to list and briefly describe the abilities of the Aereis.

• Golden Breath is a long range attack that inflicts small ticks of damage on targets while applied.
• Escape Area is an ability that allows the user to paralyze, slow (for a limited amount of time), and take 25% of the target's max health.

Gameplay

Pros

The Aereis is an herbivore with access to a food source that is available almost anywhere across the map to easily grow to adulthood. As a flier, it can escape danger with decent speed and maneuverability.

It has a breath ability which allows it inflict damage from long ranged attacks, and as a flier, it has a particular advantage over any creature bound to the ground by engaging in combat from the sky or landing on high edges to attack from a safe distance. In combination with its Escape Area ability, it can quickly take down targets by getting close enough for the ability to inflict large chunks of damage at once.

Cons

Due to the creature's demand and rarity, it is often targeted so that the difficulty of survival is more of an issue in player-to-player interactions within public servers.

The advantages it gains as a flier may also nullified by creatures who can break bones.

Trivia

• Concept by Snicker_DoodIes (@♢ X ♢#9024) on the Creatures of Sonaria Discord.
• Modeled by Erythia with a speed modeling video on Erythia's YouTube channel.
• Aereis is the first Exclusive Content Creator reature to release in Creatures of Sonaria, with around 21 official YouTube Content Creators at the time of its release. Only recognized creators can trade the species in the Trade World.
• The name is suspected to draw inspiration from the names of two gods from Greek mythology (Ares, God of War, and Eris, Goddess of Strife and Discord).
• The Aereis bleeds golden blood with meat described as "a prized delicacy" featured in the Art Concept. However, the meat it drops in the game is not gold and eating it does not have any special effects.
  • It is the only creature with golden blood.
• The Aereis once borrowed calls from the Hushike before new calls were added on May 31st, 2021.
