 | Plantilla:Permanently protected is permanently protected from editing because it is a page that has no reason to be changed. Substantial changes should be proposed here first. If the proposal is uncontroversial or has been discussed and is supported by consensus, editors may use {{edit protected}} to notify an administrator to make the requested edit.

If the template in question does not have a /doc page, and the {{Permanently protected}} does not have a nodoc parameter, then the talk page will be categorized in Category:Templates needing documentation pages.
The parameter |nobutton=yes can be used to hide the "Request edit" button on talk pages that soft-redirect to a centralized discussion page.
